Bio

Nicola SipprellSouth London-born Nicola grew up surrounded by diverse musical influences; her Canadian father, a classical concert pianist, her mother a Greek singer. At four years old it was clear that she had a natural gift for singing, and at six she began learning the violin and piano which she continues until this day.

When Nicola was only 14, after being spotted at an open-mic night, she began recording with 2b3 Productions (who launched Beverley Knight amongst other impressive credentials). This led to a too-good-to-be-true deal being presented by a major record company, but at such a young age her family thought it best for her to continue with her education.

After graduating from college and theatre school, Nicola became backing singer for Lily Allen and performed at Wembley Arena and London Astoria as well as numerous other UK and international venues. Around this time she provided backing vocals for Leona Lewis and also wrote and released a charity single for Macmillan Cancer Research called ‘Forever In Your Heart’.

She has recently featured on Lambeth’s ‘The Prodigals’ Film soundtrack album (a campaign to prevent homelessness and its associated problems amongst young people in the future) on a track entitled ‘Make It Right’ that she wrote for the album which features other well-known artists such as Beverley Knight.

She has also digitally released her debut E.P, I Didn’t Know available now on all online stores.

Nicola has recently started her own record label, ‘Trisola’ and is now independently working on her long-awaited debut album which will comprises tracks produced by the various producers including James Yarde (Jamelia, Terry Walker, Sugababes) and will no doubt display Nicola’s multi-faceted talent.
