I know its been a while! Hope you are all well!
Just a few quick updates!
First of all the trailer to Evans Baby is now up on youtube!         Evans Baby Trailer

Please check it out and comment! you can only see me for 2 split seconds but I’m the film a lot more than that trust me LOL!!
I can’t wait to see the full length film..am so glad I was able to be a part of it. The film was extremely low budget so its amazing how its all come together by everyone’s dedication and strong team work. The new website for the film is now up too! A few more exciting things have been happening for me musically at the mo..which i can’t really talk about yet but will let you know as things progress! Been concentrating on writing a lot too. Will have more for you to listen to soon!

Hows it going?! Long time no speak! Sorry i haven’t updated this in a while! Been very busy!

Well i’m happy to say that filming for Evans Baby is finally underway…I’ve filmed the majority of my scenes already..just one more scene to shoot in a couple weeks! It was my first time ever acting in a film so was all a learning process for me..but I enjoyed every minute! I know its early days but please will you all join the Evans Baby page on facebook and on twitter! www.twitter.com/evansbabymovie so you can be a part of the film’s progress from now! The Evans Baby website will also be up and running shortly.

I recently performed at ‘Does Anyone Like Good Music’ at Plan B-Brixton. Other acts who performed were Zarif and Cherri V. It was wicked night! The girls were amazing! And anyone who was there would know I didn’t stop dancing ALL night (thanks to my magic shoes). J Thanks to everyone who came down including my twitter buddy (and now real life buddy)Jamie Hetherington . Was great to finally meet you, your support is amazing! I also recently performed at a charity event for the Heritage Foundation who raise lots of money for great causes. J http://www.theheritagefoundation.info/aboutus.html I look forward to performing at their next event in July.

Just want to say thank you for being so supportive and being so patient with me. As an unsigned, artist it gets difficult to keep up to date with everything as at the moment I am doing everything on my own.  I’ve had to make a lot of changes this year…and re-evaluate my plans which has set things back a little but in the long run it will all be worth it!

Ooh and I’ve finally got a blackberry which means i can update my sites on the go..and makes things a lot easier! Don’t know how I lived without one for so long LOL!!

Seein as I woke up too early this morning..I found some extra time to write this blog! Sorry its like a week overdue now!

Here’s what I’ve been upto..

I flew to Italy last week to perform at the MADE IN EUROPE gig. As you might have known from all my moany tweets..I got the flu a couple days before the gig..singers worst nightmare : S  By the time I had to fly..I felt a bit better..but my voice got increasingly worse. By the day of the gig I could hardly sing anything…

But me like a little trooper..went to soundcheck with the other acts..Sean Rumsey, Josh Thorner..Nikitta, and Steph Murray. (Ben Mills couldn’t make it unfortunately) I tried to squeeze out a song..but it was a bit of a joke lol…I was told to see how I felt for the gig…and I was determined I would not have come all the way to Italy without singing!By the time of the gig I’d warmed up a bit and I sounded a bit better…I managed in the end to sing 3 songs (Instead of 6)..and it didn’t go badly..considering I had a tenth of my voice to use! LOL Anyway..enough whining…

Italy itself was beautiful..Domodossola was a cute little town..lots of beautiful mountains around. The weather was pretty much like england…torrential rain at first lol..and some sun the next day!  My friend took some funny footage of me exploring the town..just aint had time to upload it all yet!

Also when I was away..I got the great news my baby nephew was born!  Since I been back I’ve visited him 4 times..he is seriously an angel..he couldn’t be any more perfect!  Love you LOUIS!!

Since I been back I have started rehearsals for evans baby..which is going great so far..I’m learning loads already. Can’t wait to start filming!  www.evansbaby.com

I also did a gig last Saturday in The Drawing Room in Nottinghill…check my facebook for pics! I LOVE that venue and I can’t wait to sing there again. (I’ll be there first Sat of every month)

One last thing..I’ve just uploaded 2 new snippets to my myspace page! Do check them out and let me know what u think! The first track I have just put up is the accapella version of Fallin, but the full version will be up soon so be patient my pretties!

Anyway..I’m trying not to make this too long…basically I’ve just been running around like a mad woman! But its all good. Thanks to the new people who have signed up recently! I have my eye on you!

Just a quick low down of whats ahead for me in the near future…

I have been gigging a lot more this year! Almost every Thursday you can find me at the world famous Jazz After Dark in Soho..Greek Street. (www.jazzafterdark.co.uk ) This venue is where Amy Winehouse has played numerous times and she even has her own VIP area for when she visits! Am also looking forward to performing in Italy at the end of this month! I will bring my camera and do a video blog about it!

I am in the studio at the moment creating more hot tracks, some of which you will be hearing early next year. Also look out for a music video early next year. I wont say much more too soon, but 2010 should be amazing! Can’t believe how fast the time is going to be honest…
